The CDF (California Department of Forestry) didn't do anything to help our property. They did have a firebreak at the bottom, to save the homes on the properties adjacent to ours. But there were signs that they had been there.

There were few clouds in the sky. I kept hoping they would build up and drop some much needed rain. But they didn't.
