When Brian and Mark went up on the 6th, they left the windmill on, so that water could go to the tree and for the animals. When we went up on the 11th, new growth was already starting where the water was flowing. (Look right below the bottom of the hose end; you can see the tiny green leaves.)

This is a close up of the wood between the storage trailers. You can see where it's burned. The trailers were unharmed. Amazing.

One of the things about the fire burning so much, we saw two palm trees we didn't know were there.

And yes, you're seeing correctly. There was still life on the property, as these turds can attest.
